Pastor’s Piece for April 2025

“God raised the Lord from death, and He will also raise us by His power.”   1 Corinthians 6:14

Dear Family,

In 1972 NASA launched a space probe called Pioneer 10 to travel to Jupiter and send back information about the planet. No previous launch had gone so far, but Pioneer 10 performed its mission excellently and went on to go past Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto. Then it continued on for decades through billions of miles of space while faithfully beaming radio messages back to earth. The most remarkable part was that those signals were powered by an 8-watt transmitter, using about as much power as a little night light. No one involved had expected such a tiny transmitter to accomplish so much.

With God's amazingly power no one can imagine what He can do around us, in us, and through us. “With God’s power working in us, He can do much, much more than anything we can ask or think of.” Ephesians 3:20. As we celebrate the Resurrection of Christ this month, we rejoice that the great might that raised Jesus from the dead continues to work in our lives. (see Ephesians 1:19-20).

The One who raised Christ from the grave can raise us from any condition we get into. When Jesus rose from the dead, He opened the way for each of us to come alive with Him in every area of life. When He lives in us, we can live to the fullest. Let's be grateful for all He has accomplished for us and for all He still will do. Let's trust Him in every situation we find ourselves in, and let's be available for whatever He wants to do next in our lives.
